Measuring system for organic substances with limited to high solubility

Modern crop protection agents and herbicides usually fall in this category of substances. The SAMOS system is used for these substances. In this system, sampling and pre-treatment, analysis and data processing are fully integrated as well.

The polar substances are separated from the water using a resin column (PLRP-S), then washed with a liquid and placed in the separation column (RP-ODS). After separation using a High Pressure Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC), the compounds are identified by measuring the Ultra-Violet absorption ring spectrum, a type of fingerprint, and they are then quantified. The system therefore determines the identity and the concentration of the substance, compares the concentration found to the limits that have been set and triggers an alarm via AQUALARM if they are exceeded.
